My Roots.
Long story short, my background is in urban design. Jumping out of college, I worked for several years at a landscape architecture firm in San Francisco. I found urban design fascinating because at its core was the question; “how can we enhance the quality of urban life”. It was about rolling together architecture, psychology, ecology, and economics to create a city experience.
At the forefront of the process was people. Understanding how people want to (and will) use a space is paramount to urban design. It is this pillar that grounded me as I shifted my focus from physical experiences to digital experiences.
At the end of the day its about problem-solving. I never want to be confined to one medium when trying to solve a problem. It’s crucial to understand that the answer to everything isn’t always a screen.
